My Give as you Live Experience:
My sister has been nagging me to use Give as you Live for ages and I have finally given in to her.
I went to the website and downloaded the App which was amazingly simple and straightforward and created my account in support of Alzheimer’s Society. I chose to support the Alzheimer’s Society as my grandfather is currently suffering with dementia and I want to help the charity further their research as there are many other families having to see their loved ones suffering with this debilitating illness.
I tend to do most of my shopping online anyway and always have my eye on a few items, the latest is a tweed jacket from Brook Taverner who, I now discover give 2.5% of any purchase through the Give as you Live App to charity (I hate it when my sister’s right!!)
The Give as you Live pop up appeared as I entered their website and asked me if I wanted to use the App and therefore donate. I then completed my purchase and received a thank you email from Alzheimer’s Society confirming the amount I had donated to charity, I thought this was a really nice touch.
Having found this to be such a quick and easy way of shopping online, I challenge anyone to find a better way of donating to charity through spending money you were going to anyway and somehow not costing you a penny.
The great thing is that not only have I raised money by buying things online through the Give as you Live App but also by browsing I have raised even more. Why isn’t everyone using this?! ‘Simples’!
